Spotify CEO defends AI music, promises musicians will be adequately compensated

Spotify is defending its new AI remix and cover tool as a licensed, controlled alternative to open-ended AI music generation.

Co-CEO Alex Norström says participating artists must consent and be compensated, with the feature tied to a Universal Music Group deal.
