Antena 3 and Telecinco have been airing the 'Pasapalabra' Rosco as if it were theirs for 26 years. And the courts have just put an end to it

Spain’s Supreme Court upheld a Barcelona appeals ruling that Pasapalabra’s Rosco round is a copyrighted original owned by MC&F, not Antena 3 or ITV Studios.

The court ordered the round removed from use, required destruction of commercial copies that include it, and awarded €50,000 in moral damages.

The decision puts one of Spanish TV’s most popular quiz formats at risk by stripping away its best-known final game.

It could limit future broadcasts and digital distribution, including on platforms such as Atresplayer.
