HBO Max is stealing TikTok’s best trick to help you find something to watch

HBO Max is rolling out Shorts, a TikTok-style vertical feed of clips, trailers, and bonus content.

The new feed lets select U.S. iPhone users play content instantly and add titles to My List without leaving the experience.

HBO Max is also testing Ask HBO Max, a conversational search tool for U.S. adult Android users.

The company says AI and human editors help choose standout scenes, as streamers try to keep discovery inside their own apps instead of sending viewers to TikTok.
