Yoichi Ochiai promoted to professor at University of Tsukuba after about 8.5 years as associate professor

Yoichi Ochiai was promoted to professor at the University of Tsukuba and reported the appointment on X on April 1.

He founded the Digital Nature laboratory at Tsukuba as an assistant professor in 2015 and became an associate professor in 2017.

He serves as director of the Digital Nature Development Research Center and will keep concurrent posts at other universities.

Ochiai was the theme project producer for Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai and led the creation of the null2 pavilion.
