Docs Live brings Gemini’s conversational AI to Docs and Gmail

Google announced Docs Live, a Gemini-powered voice feature for Docs and Gmail at I/O 2026.

Users will be able to speak to create documents, draft email replies, search inbox content, and request edits hands-free.

The feature launches this summer for AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, starting with Docs, Gmail, and Google Keep.

Google says conversational AI should make its productivity apps faster and easier to use.
