Steve Yegge’s AI agent orchestration project Gas Town comes to the cloud — and brings the Wasteland with it

Steve Yegge is expanding Gas Town from a self-hosted experiment into a broader open-source ecosystem.

Through a partnership with Kilo, Gas Town will also offer a hosted cloud version that manages infrastructure, model routing, and agent coordination.

The system uses specialized AI roles for coding, testing, review, and maintenance, making multi-agent software development more structured.

As the project scales, its backend is moving to Dolt, signaling continued investment in orchestration-focused tooling.
