It's Happening: Final Fantasy XIV Is Coming to Switch 2 This August

Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy XIV Online will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in August.

Players will get a one-month free early-access period before the port moves to a paid subscription model.

The Switch 2 version requires a separate subscription, though existing subscribers will get a 50% discount.

Nintendo Switch Online is not required to play.

The reveal also included a new expansion, Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold, scheduled for January 2027.
