Newest Edition of Alan Moore’s Batman: The Killing Joke Costs Over $17,000

Argent Comics has announced an ultra-luxury "Avant-Garde" edition of Batman: The Killing Joke priced at $17,409.

The reprint uses fine-art production materials, including Hahnemühle metallic paper, and restores John Higgins’ original colors.

Only 47 copies will be produced, each signed by artist Brian Bolland.

The release highlights how classic comics are being transformed into high-end collector items, while reviving debate over recoloring and reprint practices.
