NASA’s Roman Space Telescope Nears Launch for Epic Hunt Across the Universe

NASA says the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is now targeting an earlier launch window in 2026, with SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy planned to lift it from Kennedy Space Center.

Once in space, Roman is set to begin a five-year survey of billions of stars and galaxies, using wide-field infrared imaging to study exoplanets, dark matter, dark energy, and rare cosmic events.

The mission is expected to produce a massive scientific dataset and could greatly expand discoveries about hidden objects and phenomena across the universe.
