Microsoft is letting Office users remove an annoying Copilot button

Microsoft is updating Word, Excel, and PowerPoint so users can move the floating Copilot button back to the ribbon.

The change lets people get the button out of the way and reduces the overlay behavior that some found intrusive.

Excel users in particular have complained that the floating button blocked cells and disrupted work.

The update is expected next week and suggests Microsoft is giving users more control over Copilot placement.
