Gemini can now look through your Google Photos to create AI images, with a few caveats

Google is adding an optional Gemini feature that uses connected Google Photos to generate more personalized AI images.

It can draw on real photos of users and their contacts, with rollout starting for eligible Google AI subscribers in the US.

Google says the Photos library is not directly used to train Gemini’s models.

The update expands Gemini personalization while raising fresh privacy and trust concerns around sensitive personal data.
