Tomorrow arrives the spin-off of one of the best space alternate-history stories of recent years, and it comes with an unexpected twist

Apple TV+ will premiere the spin-off prequel "City of Stars" on May 29.

Set in Moscow, it tells the alternate-history space race from the Soviet side, where the USSR reached the Moon first.

Created by the same team behind "For All Mankind," the series keeps Ronald D. Moore involved and stars Rhys Ifans as a figure inspired by Sergei Korolev.

The release comes as the original series wraps its fifth season, with a sixth and final season already confirmed.
