Valve Releases Design Files for Its Out-of-Stock Steam Controller

Valve has released CAD files for the Steam Controller’s outer shell and puck under a Creative Commons license.

The files can be downloaded for free and used to design custom accessories and cases.

Valve is not sharing the full internal component designs, so this is for the exterior parts only.

The move gives owners and hobbyists a way to extend the controller through community-made modifications, even while it remains out of stock.
