Google Issues Pixel Warning—New Update Blocks Android Changes

Google’s latest Pixel update patches CVE-2026-0073 and strengthens Android security on affected devices.

The update also raises the bootloader anti-rollback version on some Pixel models, blocking older Android builds from being flashed or booted.

If a flash or update goes wrong, some Pixels may become unbootable unless Google’s recovery tools are available.

The change boosts protection but makes downgrade-based recovery much harder for developers and advanced users.
