Your Yarbo lawnmower is a backdoor into your Wi-Fi network

Security researchers found that Yarbo’s internet-connected lawn robots ship with an unremovable backdoor and shared root credentials.

The flaw exposed telemetry, camera feeds, GPS data, firmware update paths, and remote control functions across about 11,000 devices.

A compromised robot could become a foothold into home or organizational networks, creating privacy, safety, and broader security risks.

The issue affects devices sold in many countries and underscores persistent IoT security weaknesses in connected consumer hardware.
