China's next-gen CPUs and GPUs prepare to challenge last-gen Intel and AMD in 2027 — Loongson 3B6600 and 9A1000 aim to match Intel's 12th Gen and AMD's RX 550

Loongson says its next-gen 3B6600 CPU and 9A1000 GPU are on track for a 2027 retail launch.

The 3B6600 has finished design and is entering tape-out, while the 9A1000 is in the final delivery stage after tape-out.

Both chips are said to use a 12nm process, with performance targets around Intel 12th Gen Alder Lake CPUs and AMD’s Radeon RX 550.

Loongson also says larger follow-on GPUs, including the 9A2000 and 9A3000, are already in development.
