Google Home gets upgraded Gemini voice assistant and new camera controls

Google is updating Home with Gemini 3.1 for eligible early access users, bringing a more capable voice assistant to smart speakers.

The update also improves camera feed navigation and AI event labels, making it easier to review home activity.

Ask Home is expanding to the web interface as a preview, letting users check camera history and create automations online.
