Google announces AI agent "Gemini Spark"; AI Ultra gets a $100/month plan

Google unveiled new AI features across Workspace and Gemini at I/O 2026, including voice control for Gmail, Docs, and Keep, plus expanded AI Inbox access.

It also launched Google Pics, a new image tool, and Gemini Spark, a background-running AI agent designed to keep working while users do other tasks.

Google improved Gemini on macOS and broadened AI capabilities across apps like Drive, Slides, Sheets, and YouTube Premium.

On pricing, Google lowered the cost of its premium AI Ultra plan and added a new $100-per-month tier to make advanced AI more accessible.
