Police boast of hacking VPN where criminals "believed themselves to be safe"

Authorities in multiple countries dismantled the First VPN criminal service, seizing its domains and 33 servers.

The administrator was interviewed and searched in Ukraine, while users were notified that they had been identified.

Investigators say the operation disrupted a tool used by criminals to hide activity online.

The seized infrastructure and intelligence are now being shared across jurisdictions to support wider cybercrime cases.
