Perplexity’s Personal Computer is now available to everyone on Mac

Perplexity has made its Personal Computer on-device AI agent available to all Mac users through the new Perplexity Mac app.

The tool can use local files, apps, web tools, and connectors to carry out multi-step automation tasks.

Perplexity says it will phase out its older Mac app as it rolls out the new desktop experience.

The move broadens access to Perplexity’s local AI agent platform and intensifies competition in safer on-device automation.
