MSI Turns to Cheaper DDR4 for Its RTX 5070 Katana 15 Laptop as DDR5 Prices Soar

MSI has launched the Katana 15 HX C14W globally with a Core i9-14900HX processor and GeForce RTX 5070 graphics.

The laptop supports up to 96GB of either DDR4 or DDR5 memory and offers 1080p 144Hz or 1440p 165Hz display options.

The DDR4 configuration could provide a lower-cost alternative as DDR5 prices rise, but MSI has not announced pricing.
