Harness launched an AI Agent Development Lifecycle service to help teams ship AI agents with software-style governance, testing, and security gates.

The company says agents are harder to deploy than traditional apps because their outputs are non-deterministic and they expand the attack surface.

Rather than trying to make the agent itself predictable, Harness aims to make the delivery pipeline predictable and auditable.

The move targets a major enterprise blocker: the lack of reliable ways to test, govern, and secure agents before production.
