The Nintendo Switch 2 is getting more expensive later this year

Nintendo is raising Switch 2 prices in the U.S. by $50 starting Sept. 1, citing changing market conditions.

Prices are also going up in Canada, Europe, and Japan.

The move breaks with the usual pattern of consoles getting cheaper over time.

Nintendo also cut its fiscal-year Switch 2 sales forecast to 16.5 million units.
