Gwangju and Jeonnam industry-academia-government alliance builds cooperation system for semiconductor talent development

Jeonnam National University held a meeting with universities, companies, the Education Ministry, and local governments in Gwangju and Jeonnam to discuss semiconductor talent development.

Participants shared views on the industry’s desired core talent profile, the role of universities, and strategies for future AI-semiconductor talent.

They also reviewed ways to run curricula aligned with local needs and strengthen industry-academia cooperation.

The effort aims to build a foundation for cultivating specialized local talent in step with rising semiconductor investment in the southwest region.
