Creator of Popular Pokémon Nature Documentary Series Says His Channel Will Shut Down Due to Nintendo Copyright Strikes

Nintendo of America reportedly issued multiple copyright strikes against PokéNational Geographic, a Pokémon fan YouTube channel run by Elious.

Because the strikes arrived in a short span, YouTube’s three-strikes policy could delete the channel within seven days.

The creator says he may keep only a new non-Pokémon channel and has paused or moved support pages while the situation is reviewed.

The case highlights how fast copyright enforcement can take down long-running fan-made content on YouTube.
