Android’s next major update will change how you multitask

Google released Android 17 Beta 3, android 17 reached Platform Stability with the third beta release.

Android 17 Beta 3 adds a bubble mode for apps any app can run in a floating window that minimizes into a bubble.

App shortcuts Users can enable bubble mode from app icon shortcuts long-press an app icon and select the bubble icon to run it in bubble mode.

Bubbled apps do not appear separately in Recent Apps the floating icon is visible but the app is not listed separately in Recent Apps.

Bubble mode Multiple bubbled apps can run simultaneously testing on Pixel 8 Pro showed six apps running as bubbles at once.
