U-NEXT acquires anime production company GoHands; past works include "Seitokai Yakuindomo" and "The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today"

U-NEXT HOLDINGS will acquire all shares of anime studio GoHands and make it a wholly owned subsidiary.

The company aims to expand production capacity and better connect publishing, animation, and streaming operations.

The deal gives U-NEXT more control over anime creation and distribution, especially for turning in-house IP into animated works.

It also supports U-NEXT’s push to compete more aggressively in the global anime market.
