Google’s world-generation AI “Project Genie” can generate a “movable” virtual space based on the real world, with Street View integration

Google has added Street View integration to Project Genie, letting users generate AI virtual worlds based on real mapped locations.

Users can pick a place, choose a visual style and characters, then explore a world anchored to that real-world starting point.

The feature is rolling out first to Google AI Ultra subscribers, with selected U.S. locations such as the Golden Gate Bridge and Fort Worth Stockyards available initially.

The update makes Genie’s worlds more grounded and expands Google’s push in generative world-model tools.
