Qualcomm's New Snapdragon C Processors Herald Cheap Laptops With Big Compromises

Qualcomm has introduced the Snapdragon C, a new processor aimed at low-cost Windows laptops.

Acer is among the first partners, with the Aspire Go 15 targeting about $300.

The budget laptop uses a plastic chassis and up to 8GB of RAM to keep prices down.

Even so, it still includes a 512GB SSD, a 1080p display, and a 1080p webcam.

HP and Lenovo are also expected to launch Snapdragon C-powered laptops.
