AMD makes FSR 4 upscaling official for Radeon RX 7000- and 6000-series cards — RDNA 3 and RDNA 2 chips will soon enjoy improved visuals

AMD will officially expand FSR 4.1 support beyond RX 9000 GPUs, bringing it to Radeon RX 7000-series cards in July.

Radeon RX 6000-series support is planned for early 2027, giving older RDNA 2 owners access to the newer upscaling tech.

FSR 4.1 is expected to deliver better image quality, with less blur, stronger detail retention, and reduced shimmer.

The move follows community leaks and unofficial tools like Optiscaler that showed the feature could already run on older hardware.
