Elon Musk to launch XChat as part of push to build WeChat-like super app

X plans to launch XChat on the Apple App Store on April 17, with no Android release date announced yet.

The iOS app is currently in public beta and was previously tested internally.

XChat will include encrypted messaging, calls, disappearing messages, screenshot blocking, and message recall.

Users will be able to sign up without a phone number, reinforcing X’s push toward a WeChat-style super app.
