Xiaomi may be after Samsung’s anti-snoop trick, minus the expensive display tech

Xiaomi is reportedly testing a privacy-screen or anti-snoop feature for HyperOS 4, with a launch expected later this year.

The leak suggests Xiaomi’s approach is software-based, unlike Samsung’s hardware-integrated Privacy Display on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Samsung’s version uses Flex Magic Pixel to tighten side viewing angles and better block shoulder-surfing.

If Xiaomi ships the feature, it could make anti-snooping tools available on more phones at lower cost, though likely with weaker protection.
