Smart glasses have a light that indicates they are recording. For the Data Protection Agency, that is not enough

Smart glasses with cameras and microphones can easily record video and audio, raising privacy concerns.

Meta uses an LED to signal recording, but Spain’s data protection agency, AEPD, says that warning is not enough.

The AEPD says the person recording remains responsible and must not capture other people’s conversations without consent.

It also warns that some public and private spaces should not be recorded at all, making usage limits important.
