Apple is finally building the AI photo editor that Google and Samsung have had for years

Apple is reportedly building a new Apple Intelligence Tools section in Photos for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27.

The planned features are Extend, Enhance, and Reframe, with on-device processing for speed and privacy.

Extend would generate extra image content, Enhance would offer one-tap improvements, and Reframe would adjust spatial photo perspective.

Bloomberg says Extend and Reframe are still inconsistent in testing, so they may be delayed or scaled back before launch.
