Musk loses lawsuit against OpenAI… court says "Altman and OpenAI are not liable"

A U.S. federal jury and judge in Oakland rejected Elon Musk’s claims against OpenAI, Sam Altman, and Microsoft.

The court also dismissed allegations of charitable trust breaches and unjust enrichment, citing statute-of-limitations issues.

The ruling weakens Musk’s legal push to challenge OpenAI’s nonprofit commitments and reverse its leadership and structure changes.

Musk is expected to appeal.
