HBO Max and Paramount+ may not merge after all

A federal judge temporarily blocked Paramount’s planned acquisition of Warner Bros Discovery.

The move pauses any near-term combination of HBO Max and Paramount+.

The case was triggered by a request from 12 state attorneys general and now faces more regulatory review and an antitrust lawsuit.
