Pixel 6 and 6 Pro will not get Android 17 QPR2

Google confirmed the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will not get Android 17 QPR2 because the phones reach end of life before the December release.

The 2021 flagships are still due for the August security update, the September Pixel Drop tied to Android 17 QPR1, and the October security patch.

This effectively ends major software support for the Pixel 6 line, clarifying the last Android feature updates those devices will receive.

Pixel 6a support continues longer, with updates planned through July 2027.
