How I Built Resumefy: From Job Hunt Frustration to a Google Docs & Word ATS Scorer

A recent graduate built Resumefy, a free Google Docs and Word add-on that tailors resumes and scores them against job descriptions.

After repeated rejections, the creator turned the idea into an AI resume optimization tool focused on ATS keyword matching.

Resumefy was later published on Google Workspace Marketplace and Microsoft AppSource for easier access inside document editors.

The scoring engine was improved by using Gemini 2.5 Flash with thinking tokens, making ATS results more consistent.
