Destiny 2 Is Ending

Bungie says Destiny 2’s final live-service update, Monument of Triumph, will arrive on June 9, 2026.

The game will stay playable, but active development and new content updates will end after that release.

The update will include closure-focused content, loot changes, a new Pantheon, new grenade abilities, and the return of the Director menu.

Bungie is shifting resources toward incubating new games after Destiny 2’s struggles following The Final Shape and Marathon’s weak launch.
