Microsoft Forces Windows 11 25H2 Update on Millions of PCs

Microsoft will automatically push the Windows 11 version 25H2 update to unmanaged Home and Pro PCs running 24H2.

The company updated its support notice saying 24H2 will reach end of support later this year and stop receiving security patches.

Work-managed devices are not affected, and Windows 10 devices are not being force-updated at this time.

Microsoft said it uses machine learning with testing and diagnostic data to target PCs least likely to have compatibility issues.
