PC OEMs, Like ASUS & MSI, Are Rumored To Make Their Own “Project Helix” Machines, But That Doesn’t Mean Xbox Consoles Won’t Exist

A rumor says Microsoft’s next Xbox SoC, codenamed Project Helix, could power not only an official Xbox console but also custom gaming devices from PC OEMs like ASUS and MSI.

The report, circulating via Neogaf and Wccftech, points to a more open hardware approach built around AMD-based silicon.

If true, Microsoft could keep a first-party Xbox console while also letting partners build branded gaming devices around the same platform.

That would expand next-gen Xbox from a single console into a broader ecosystem that includes PC makers.
