TSMC reportedly plans 12 fabs and four packaging facilities in Arizona as part of $500 billion Taiwan-US investment

DigiTimes reports TSMC may expand its Arizona campus to 12 fabs and four packaging facilities as part of a Taiwan–US $500 billion investment effort.

TSMC reportedly bought about 900 acres adjacent to its existing 1,100-acre site, bringing the total to roughly 2,000 acres.

The company currently plans six Fab 21 modules, two packaging facilities and one R&D center, and has not confirmed the newer expansion reports.
