World-first as US-UK firm fires liquid-fuel ramjet artillery from NATO 155mm howitzer

Tiberius Aerospace says its Sceptre liquid-fuel ramjet round was successfully fired from a standard NATO 155mm howitzer in New Mexico.

The test showed the round can ignite in flight, fly stably at high speed, and maintain precision over long range.

The company says the munition can reach about Mach 3.5 and 93 miles, offering missile-like performance from existing artillery.

If validated, the system could give allied forces a cheaper, more flexible long-range strike option without changing current artillery platforms.
