iOS 26.6 is coming next week for iPhone, here’s what’s new

Apple has seeded the iOS 26.6 release candidate to testers, pointing to a public release next week.

The update is mainly a stability patch, with bug fixes, security updates, and improved Spotlight indexing.

It also adds a warning for users who have hit the blocked-contacts limit and includes code hinting at a future anti-theft feature.

Apple is also preparing related changes in macOS Tahoe 26.6 as it readies Spotlight for the redesigned version in iOS 27.
