Microsoft unveils AI security tools it says outperform competing platforms

Microsoft unveiled two preview AI security tools: MDASH with MAI-Cyber-1-Flash and Project Perception.

The company says MAI-Cyber-1-Flash scored 96% on CyberGYM and outperformed Anthropic, Google Gemini, and OpenAI models.

Project Perception is a multi-agent platform for red-, blue-, and green-team tasks, which Microsoft says can do most work at lower cost.

The tools could reshape enterprise cyber defense, but both will need close scrutiny before production use.
