Kokuyo launches incense clock “Tokiokumu” — its fragrance changes over time

Kokuyo will launch a limited run of 50 incense clocks, “Tokiwokumu,” co-developed with Shoyeido.

The product stacks five incense pieces with different scents and colors; as they burn, the fragrance changes over time.

Designed to let users experience the passage of time through both sight and smell, it turns timekeeping into an ambient ritual.

The item is being released as a commercialized version of a Kokuyo Design Award 2022 winner, drawing attention as a new lifestyle and fragrance product.
