Microsoft reveals what happens to Windows 11 PCs if the June 2026 Secure Boot deadline is ignored

Microsoft says the 2011 Secure Boot certificate will expire in June 2026, but Windows 11 PCs should still boot normally.

Devices that receive updates through Windows Update will get the 2023 Secure Boot certificate automatically.

Systems that miss the update may keep working, but boot security could weaken and future Windows upgrades may be restricted.

The issue mainly affects older devices that rely on the legacy certificate and have not yet been updated.
