You can now remix other people’s YouTube Shorts with AI

Google has added a new YouTube Shorts remix option called Reimagine, powered by Gemini Omni.

It lets users restyle clips into looks like pixel art or anime, alter video content, or place themselves inside scenes.

Creators can opt out of remixing, and remixed Shorts will carry a digital watermark plus a link to the original video.

The feature expands AI video editing on a major short-form platform while adding attribution and creator safeguards.
