YouTube is ditching ‘Clips,’ officially brings ‘share at timestamp’ to phones

YouTube is phasing out the old Clips creation feature, though existing Clips will remain viewable.

The company says new creator-focused clipping tools will be added later, likely through YouTube Studio and Shorts workflows.

YouTube is also officially rolling out share-at-timestamp on the mobile app for phones and tablets.

The timestamp toggle now appears in the mobile share menu, expanding a feature that had already surfaced for some Android users.
