Intel kicks off development on next-decade 10A and 7A process technologies — 14A node remains on track for critical October PDK release

Intel says it has started work on future 10A and 7A process nodes, extending its foundry roadmap beyond 14A.

For 14A, Intel says a 0.5 PDK is already available, with a 0.9 PDK targeted for October.

The company says it has multiple interested customers and is still aiming for 14A risk production in 2028 and volume production in 2029.

Intel also plans to use High-NA EUV on key layers, reinforcing its push to compete more directly with TSMC.
